Quick and Easy Quayside Family Photoshoot

Spend 30 minutes with me around Berwick’s Beautiful Historic Quayside

Our family mini shoots on the Quayside have proved really popular in the past, so we are rerunning them in January when everyone has lovely new cosy things to wear from Christmas!

Our family mini shoots are ideal for:
Children (from 1-year-old upward), Couples, Teens, Cousins, Siblings, Family Groups (Max of 8 persons), (Dogs are welcome on a lead - make sure you bring your pooch to the photo shoot. After all, they are part of the family!)

A Family Mini Session costs £150 and includes; 

• A 30-minute photo shoot, during which we will take a walk around Berwick Quayside, where I will capture a variety of images of your family for you to choose from. Shoots will be scheduled on the 21st or 22nd of January.

• I will select the best photos from your mini shoot to work my magic on. Around a week or two later, I will send you a link to your own password-protected online gallery to choose from. 

• You can pick 5 high-resolution digital files of your choice to download and print to your heart’s content.

How do I book a session?

The best way to book is online. I will call you back on the number provided after booking through the calendar above to discuss your session.

How much is it and what does it include?

The session fee of £150 is due at the time of booking this includes 5 high-resolution digital photographs from your session. The session fee is non-refundable, however, you can reschedule up until 24hrs prior to your session. The session fee covers pre-session prep time, the shoot itself, all post-production time editing and retouching, and the use of any props required. It does not include any physical prints or portrait products. These items can be selected as extras and purchased from your gallery.

I just want some photos of the children, do I have to be in them?

No, I'm not going to force you to be in any photographs, but it is super important to be present in photos with your children. You are going to want to be able to look back and remember not only your children when they were tiny bundles of cuteness or wild balls of noise and energy, but you’re going to want pictures with them, enjoying them and loving them. Your children will feel really special and love that you are in some photos with them too.

Can I buy a family mini-shoot as a gift?

Yes! these mini-shoots are perfect as Christmas gifts, they are ideal for those who have everything already.

Where will the sessions happen?

The location for these mini shoots is Berwick upon Tweed Quayside which has cobbled areas, a variety of beautiful historic features and secret alleyways, the Elizabethan Walls, the river Tweed with the 3 bridges and a tiny pebble beach (tide dependant). Please let me know at the start of the session if you have a particular preference for what you would like to include in the background as we only have 30 minutes together. If you aren’t sure, I like to mix it up to give you variety and so that everyone’s session looks different. Quick location sessions are great for active children and help adults feel more relaxed and at ease in the natural environment.

What if the weather is bad?

I usually work with whatever the weather throws at us: drizzle, cloudy, overcast sky (which as a side note is very flattering on the skin!) but from time to time the unpredictable North East weather will force us to change our plans. I check the forecast the day before and if it looks really horrible (i.e. 50%+ chance of rain/gale force winds etc..) I will call you to reschedule. (if I haven't called you and you are worried about the weather please feel free to get in touch the day before). It will be cold in January so it’s a great chance to wrap up warm in all your cosy chunky winter knits!

When do we get to see the photos?

Around 1-2 weeks after your session you will be sent a link to your own password-protected online gallery to choose your favourite photographs. If you wish to purchase additional photographs and products, these will be available to purchase from your online gallery.
