Music at Paxton | Festival Photography at Paxton House, Berwick
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing the Music at Paxton festival several times now, capturing everything from live performances to the quiet, in-between moments that make this event so special. Held each summer at Paxton House, near Berwick-upon-Tweed, the ten-day festival brings together world-class musicians and local audiences for a family-friendly celebration of chamber music.
My approach to photographing the festival is documentary-style — blending into the background to capture the energy of rehearsals, the intimacy of performances, and the beauty of the setting. I’ve also created portraits of individual musicians and photographed some of the elegant architectural and natural details around the venue, which feature in the festival’s brochure, website, and promotional materials.
It’s always a joy to work with the Music at Paxton team and to be part of a cultural event that showcases the best of music and hospitality in the Scottish Borders.

I love my job. I get to capture children's first smiles, watch families grow, and I have the privilege of creating lifetime memories with them. I see couples look into each other's eyes and remember, all over again, how much they love each other. I get a kick from the pride and excitement on a business owner's face when they see their photography for the first time - pride in the company they have built and excitement about using my work to further future growth.
So if you would like to enhance your home or website with timeless photography that warms your heart and makes you proud, then welcome!
