Product Photography for Hide & Tweed’s Handmade Leather Gifts

I recently photographed a beautiful range of handcrafted leather gifts for Hide & Tweed, created by Julie, a talented maker selling her limited designs through Etsy. Each piece is made with care and precision, and it was a pleasure to capture the texture, craftsmanship and individuality of her work.

For the shoot, we wanted to keep the styling simple and authentic. I used an old barn door from my studio as a backdrop — its natural tones and weathered surface complemented the warm, tactile quality of the leather perfectly. The result was a set of product photographs that felt true to Julie’s brand: elegant, down-to-earth and timeless.

It’s always inspiring to work with independent makers who pour so much heart into what they create. Photography like this is all about connection — helping small businesses showcase their work beautifully and confidently online.

Sarah Jamieson

I love my job. I get to capture children's first smiles, watch families grow, and I have the privilege of creating lifetime memories with them. I see couples look into each other's eyes and remember, all over again, how much they love each other. I get a kick from the pride and excitement on a business owner's face when they see their photography for the first time - pride in the company they have built and excitement about using my work to further future growth.

So if you would like to enhance your home or website with timeless photography that warms your heart and makes you proud, then welcome!
