Maybe you’ve had a photoshoot before, and it felt like chaos - staged poses, forced smiles, and way too many snack bribes. Or maybe you’ve been putting it off because you’re worried about keeping everyone calm long enough to get a frame-worthy shot.

But here’s the thing, kids don’t have to sit still to get amazing photos. When they run, jump, and play, that’s when the real magic happens. These beach sessions are designed with real families in mind - no pressure, no need to be “on your best behaviour,” just space to be yourselves while I capture the moments you’ll treasure forever.

I’m a photographer, mum, and general chaos coordinator. My life is full of capturing memories, chasing after my teenagers, and attempting to tire out our hyper labradoodle.

I’m all about real moments - whether that’s getting a family to laugh together or helping a business show off its personality. I’ve been snapping photos in Berwick for years, and honestly, it never gets old seeing people’s faces light up when they see their pictures.

After Your Beach Taster Session

Online Booking

Pick your time on the booking calendar and pay online to confirm your place. There are only 10 places across the two Saturdays, so once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Pre-Session Info

After booking, you’ll get a few emails from me with tips on what to wear and what to expect, so you feel ready for the day. Got a question? Just ask.

The Photo Session

We’ll meet at Spittal Promenade Beach Shelter for your 20 minutes on the sand. Walk, play and be yourselves while I gently guide you and capture the natural moments.

Your Online Gallery

About a week after your session, I’ll send you a private online gallery with your 5 edited photos, ready to download and print. If you’d like all the edited photos (usually 15 to 20), you can upgrade for an extra £200.

These shoots are for immediate family and any 4 legged friends.

You can upgrade to all the edited images from your session for an extra £200, or order products like framed prints, but there is absolutely no obligation.

What is a Taster Photo Session?

A Beach Taster Session is a little glimpse into what it’s like to have a full lifestyle photography experience with me - just in a shorter, more relaxed format! Think of it as a fun, no-pressure way to dip your toes (maybe literally!) into a photoshoot by the sea.

In just 20 minutes, we’ll capture natural, joy-filled moments, whether it’s with your family, your partner, your four-legged friends, or even just you! It’s perfect if you’ve never had a session with me before and want to see how effortless and enjoyable it can be. Plus, you’ll walk away with a handful of beautiful images that reflect this special time in your life.

Whether you’re curious about a future full session or just want some gorgeous photos without the commitment of a longer shoot, this is your chance to try it out and see what it’s all about!

Frequently Asked Questions

Each session includes a 20-minute shoot and 5 high-resolution images from a choice of approximately 10-20 images from your own password protected online gallery.
Choose a time on the booking calendar on this page and pay online to confirm it. There are ten places across Saturday 16th and 30th January, and once they’re gone, they’re gone. You’ll get a confirmation email straight away, followed by a few emails from me on what to wear and what to expect on the day.
Mini shoots are for immediate family and any four-legged friends.
Yes, I am fully insured for my photography work. It’s important to choose a trusted, established professional for your photoshoot. Your peace of mind is my priority!
If it is absolutely pouring with rain I will get in touch to reschedule to a new date. If it is overcast/foggy or 'just spitting with rain' the shoots will go ahead, be sure to bring wellies so we can enjoy splashing at the shore!
Choose outfits that reflect your style! Beach colours like blues and neutrals work beautifully against the sandy backdrop but anything goes as long as you’ve put some thought into the co-ordination. (I’ll share a what to wear post on Instagram and Facebook in early January, so you’ve got time to plan.).
Absolutely! Dogs are very welcome, they are part of the family and I love including them in photos.
You’ll receive a digital gallery link to download your selected edited images. Options to upgrade to all digital images or to purchase products are available, but not required.
Edited images will typically be delivered within two weeks after your session.
Beach Taster places are non-refundable once your 14 day cooling-off period has ended, as I’m holding your slot and turning other families away. If you can’t make your session, let me know as soon as you can. I’ll do my best to move you to another slot or the other Saturday, or you can pass your place to a friend or family member. If the weather means I have to move everyone, I’ll move you to Saturday 23rd January. If that date doesn’t work for you, we’ll find another date together within the next 12 months.
