About Me

I must confess, writing ‘about me’ (or any copy in fact) is something I really struggle with, but I find it so much easier when I have some decent photos to put alongside the words.

The first thing I do when I find a new company is to scroll through their socials or go to the about page on their website. I want to know who I’m buying from or working with.

I thrive on working with other business people, seeing their online presence grow and level up when the brand has a whole new feel is super rewarding.

I’d be thrilled to be telling your story, Sarah x

Planning the Shoot

Being able to show your product's size through proportions and scale helps a potential buyer visualise your product. A good way to do this is by using a universal object or a person to show the size of the product compared to them.

Having a carefully arranged Flat Lay shot can create a story with the product, and these are really effective for website banner images. It doesn’t need to be complicated to be effective.

On The Day

Usually, the first session a brand will book with me is a longer portfolio shoot to start building up their bank of images.

How many hours a business will book depends on the number of products and how many other photographs are needed for their website.

For example, the first shoot might cover their premises, staff, and product variations, with follow-up shoots covering product updates or seasonal promotions, taking only an hour or two in the studio.

We’d had conversations with a couple of slick photographers in Edinburgh but Sarah actually really got us. She is incredibly talented with a real flair for capturing the essence of our textiles company as well as the terrific images of our products. She put her heart and soul into the work and the results are we now have the basis for a really professional and competitive website.
